For 15 years, I’ve been a DJ. For 12 years, I’ve lived in Detroit. In the words of the late D. Boon, “punk rock changed our lives.” But there’s more to the story: all that came before, between the lines, and in the future. Whether it’s avant-garde classical, ’70s jazz-rock, future-punk, or any other musical hyphenation you can think of, I’ve probably explored it’s depths. Here in this blog, I’ll share some of those explorations. And, being a weekly DJ for a diverse crowd in Detroit has had an impact on the way I view music and people. I’ll throw in some of those observations, as well, because some are pretty entertaining, or at least shocking.
